Transit Talks

This month, Twila of Hobart’s Run and several other Pottstown delegates traveled to Phoenix, Arizona, to attend Mpact, a national transit conference. At the conference, Twila participated in a poster session that highlighted the work and goals of the Pottstown team and her consultancy project with the London School of Economics. The six-month consultancy will provide preliminary research and planning for an equitable transit-oriented district (ETOD) around Pottstown’s current train station. When completed, the project will be submitted to the Borough of Pottstown for consideration as part of the PennDOT Thriving Communities Program grant implementation. The 10-person Pottstown delegation is led and supported by the Pottstown Area Health and Wellness Foundation and has been meeting regularly for two years to study the feasibility and impact of passenger rail returning to the region.

"How Can I Help Hobart's Run?"

There are many ways to get involved – from volunteering for a cleanup, participating in neighborhood meetings, serving as a block captain, or making a financial contribution that will help us fund our community initiatives.

Hobart's Run (a 501(c)(3) neighborhood initiative) was launched by The Hill School to create a clean and safe community; foster inclusivity; provide incentives for home ownership and property pride; and generate quality business development.
