Director of Communications and Community Relations

Hobart's Run

Coordinator of Community Service

The Hill School

David Brooks says "Trust is built and the social fabric is repaired when people form local relationships around shared tasks… building working relationships across a community is an intrinsically good thing. You do enough intrinsically good things and lives will be improved in ways you can never plan or predict."

Cathy served The Hill School as Director of Communications from 1997 to 2018, before jumping into this new Hobart’s Run role that allows her to focus on her passion for Pottstown revitalization and community relations. Over the years she has volunteered extensively in Pottstown, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Pottstown School District.

Currently Cathy is Co-President of the Steel River Playhouse Board of Directors and serves on the Ricketts Center Advisory Board; the Edgewood Historic Cemetery Board; and the communications committees for the Pottstown Branch of the NAACP and Pottstown GoFourth. She began her career as a journalist, then worked as a free-lance writer and, later, public relations associate for Albright College (Reading, PA). Cathy graduated from Dickinson College magna cum laude with a B.A. in English and Political Science.

"How Can I Help Hobart's Run?"

There are many ways to get involved – from volunteering for a cleanup, participating in neighborhood meetings, serving as a block captain, or making a financial contribution that will help us fund our community initiatives.

Hobart's Run (a 501(c)(3) neighborhood initiative) was launched by The Hill School to create a clean and safe community; foster inclusivity; provide incentives for home ownership and property pride; and generate quality business development.
