Adopt-a-Trashcan Program

You don’t have to live in our Hobart’s Run focus area to benefit from the impact of our Adopt-a-Trashcan program!  All Borough of Pottstown residents are welcome to “adopt” one of our free, durable, branded trashcans to help keep their street clean and show their neighborhood pride. Hobart’s Run will deliver your bin to your home or business, along with a weight to keep the can steady and secure. Adopters are required to monitor and change the trashcan liners as needed, placing the trash with their weekly collection. Program participants agree the presence of the bins leads to a significant decline in litter on their streets. See if your location could benefit from an adoption by checking out the map!

Businesses, civic organizations, and private citizens can help us place more litter-busting bins throughout the Borough by becoming program sponsors.  Each bin and label costs Hobart’s Run about $200.  You will be recognized for your valued participation with a sticker on each bin you sponsor and thanked in our social media. There is a price break if you sponsor more than one bin, too.

"How Can I Help Hobart's Run?"

There are many ways to get involved – from volunteering for a cleanup, participating in neighborhood meetings, serving as a block captain, or making a financial contribution that will help us fund our community initiatives.

Hobart's Run (a 501(c)(3) neighborhood initiative) was launched by The Hill School to create a clean and safe community; foster inclusivity; provide incentives for home ownership and property pride; and generate quality business development.
